Community Guidelines
Introduction
interlüde is a space for real human bond.
We gather to slow down, explore, and experience things a little differently. Through honest conversations, creative workshops, and common moments that go beyond the standard script. It’s about giving ourselves permission to be fully present, curious, and real with each other.
To make that possible, we co-create a space which feels safe, welcoming, and open for everyone. A place where you can truly show up as yourself.
These guidelines aren’t here to police anyone, but rather to help us all have the kind of experience we want to share. Think of them as our common agreement: a gentle foundation we build together.
🌿 Our Core Values
Lead with respect & empathy
We all come from different backgrounds and carry our own stories. Be kind, keep curious, and give each other the benefit of the doubt.
Be real, but be mindful
Honesty is welcome here, as well as disagreement. Share openly, but always with care and respect.
Create safety together
Emotional and physical safety matter. We look out for ourselves, and we hold space for each other.
Celebrate differences
Everyone is welcome here. Diversity isn’t just accepted, it is celebrated, and it’s part of what makes this space meaningful.
💬 How We Show Up
Communicate with care
Speak from your own experience (“I” instead of “you”), listen with presence, and avoid personal attacks or dismissive behavior.
Respect boundaries (yours and others')
You’re always invited, never obligated. “No” is a complete sentence, and it’s always respected here. This includes physical boundaries: no touch without express consent.
Honor privacy & confidentiality
What people share in this space stays here. Please don’t share anyone’s stories, identities, or information without their clear okay.
Keep it present & intentional
Whether we’re online or in person, let’s contribute in ways that support connection, growth, and a feeling of belonging. During events: please stay clear and present, and feel free to put your phone away.
🚫 What’s Not Welcome
To keep this space safe and welcoming for all, the following are not allowed:
Harassment, bullying, or trolling.
Hate speech or discrimination of any kind (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.).
Threats, intimidation, or glorifying violence.
Unwanted sexual content or NSFW material.
Spam, excessive self-promotion, or unsolicited DMs.
Promoting illegal activities (including drugs).
This applies to Discord, IRL events, and private messages between members.
🌐 Online Space (Discord)
Main language is English (German has its own spaces like # ☕│sprachcafé)
Avoid spam, flooding, or excessive caps.
If you’d like to share your work or promote something, ask first. We love supporting each other.
Be mindful of connecting through DMs: consent matters here, too. You can change your message preferences in the Privacy Settings.
Discord’s Community Guidelines also apply.
🧍♀️ In-Person Events
Respect personal and physical boundaries at all times.
Follow the facilitator’s guidance during the exercise.
Take care of your own limits, and let others know what you need.
Help co-create a space where others feel safe to participate.
🛠 Support & Reporting
If something is off or someone crosses a line:
Reach out on Discord in the #☝️│help channel or to the @🪄 interlüders team.
Or contact us directly (e.g. via Discord DM to @marisa_interlude, or message).
We take all concerns seriously and handle them with care and confidentiality.
We are humans, not just moderators.
⚖️ How We Handle Situations
We aim to respond with fairness and context. Depending on the situation, this may include:
A gentle reminder
A request to adjust behavior
A warning (strike)
Temporary mute or removal
Permanent Ban if necessary
We generally follow a 2-strike approach, but serious situations may lead to immediate removal.
Please read the #❓│faq for more info.
