At Sprachcafé, we practice German online in a welcoming, supportive, and relaxed atmosphere.

What is it?

We’re excited to invite you to our online Sprachcafé every Thursday at 21:00/9:00 PM (Berlin, GMT+1). Each week, we’ll share a fun topic and some handy tips to spark great conversations. In German, of course!

Our themes range from beginner to C1, and we create a warm and encouraging international community where we can practice, learn, and motivate one another.

Find a practice partner, and enjoy the community events.

A computer displays an online workshop in German happens on the background while in the front is a document with exercises.

How does it work?

We start together with a brief introduction and a shared support document around the session topic. Afterward, participants are divided into smaller breakout rooms based on their knowledge level. Questions and prompts are suggested to help everyone feel comfortable and in the flow. Slowly, we will move into larger groups and more advanced vocabulary. At the end, we close the workshop with a group reflection.

Natives are also welcome, as they can still have fun with the games, sharing stories, and getting to know each other.

How to join?

🙋🏻‍♀️ 1. When signing up, you’ll answer a few simple questions to help us organize the session.

💌 2. After answering, you’ll get a message with the Discord invitation link. Make sure you join ahead of the session, especially if you’re new to Discord. We can help you set up.

🗓️ 3. Before the session begins, you will receive a reminder on the channel with final details. Please be on time. Late entries disrupt the magic.

💫 4. After the workshop, it’s up to you how you continue. Often, the group ends up planning other activities together, but as always, it is totally up to you.
